Actor Mark Wahlberg is apologizing for his plane crazy claim he could have thwarted the suicide flight that slammed into the North Tower on Sept. 11.
 
The “Contraband" actor hoped to pull himself out of a tailspin after he told Men’s Journal he could have done a better job than the valiant passengers and flight crew aboard American Airlines Flight 11 -- the 92 brave souls who had no idea five Al Qaeda hijackers armed with box cutters were planning the most devastating suicide mission in American history.
 
“If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn’t have went down like it did,” Wahlberg says in the magazine’s February issue. “
 
There would have been a lot of blood in that first-class cabin and then me saying, ‘OK, we’re going to land somewhere safely, don’t worry.’ ”
