The voluntary blackout by Wikipedia/Reddit and tons of other sites to raise awareness of the Sopa/pipa/open legislation.
Now millions of homework assignments won't be completed and internet arguements will remain unsupported without vital wikipedia research.
On a serious note, I just think this is the first pitch and something similarly sinister will end up being passed resulting in the ultimate goal: more govt. control on the interwebs.
That's the sound of more of our freedoms slowly dying.
